On February 14, 2024, “Read it and Give it to someone else” bookcrossing challenge was launched in our College in the framework of the Ministry of Education’s project “Читающий колледж”, as well as the International Book Giving Day.
One of the first, who gave their books to the library were: College Principal Zhumakhan Moldakulov, foreign language teacher Dzhumagulova I.M., MI 22-4 group student Gulim Sovet.
Bookcrossing is an international social movement. Its purpose is to promote responsible “book consumption”. Bookcrossing is one of the eco-friendly alternatives to buying books. The essence of the movement is simple – a person, after reading a book, leaves it in a public place (cafe, library) so that anyone can take the book for themselves. The person who took the book starts the process again later.
