On April 14, 2025, “Drug addiction prevention“ and “Family values“ lectures were held for the 1st-year students of our College.
The objectives of the event: to develop the values of a healthy lifestyle, free from drugs; to increase the legal literacy of young people in matters of drug storage and distribution; to reveal the role of family in modern life; to foster a sense of duty and responsibility towards family members.
Invited lecturers:
- Anna Trubnikova – psychiatrist and narcologist at the Center for Mental Health (Almaty).
- Elena Popova – representative of the Council of Mothers (the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan).
In her lecture, Anna Trubnikova spoke in detail about stages of addiction formation and the severe consequences of drug use. In recent years, there has been a “rejuvenation“ of drug addiction, with some children starting to try drugs as early as the age of 12-13. That is why drug addiction is a serious medical and social problem in modern society. In her speech, Elena Popova emphasized the importance of family values, which play a key role in personality formation, maintaining the stability of society and transfer of cultural traditions.
